Earn ABO & AOA approved continuing education credits at your own pace in the convenience of your home or office.

Home study courses are complimentary for all California Paraoptometric Section members and are $20 per course credit for CPS non-members.

CE Article Guidelines

• All orders will be mailed within 1-3 business days, which includes the article, 20 home study questions, and a return envelope for the questions to be submitted for grading. Answers will be accepted within 60 days from the date the article was shipped via mail, fax and e-mail.
• Answers will be graded within 5 business days of receipt. Passing scores are those who answer at least 16 out of the 20 questions correctly.
• Anyone who receives a passing score will be shipped the appropriate stamped and personalized ABO Certified Education Certificate (CEC) within 5-7 business days.
• You must follow the instructions on completing and returning the evaluation portion of the CEC to the COA office accompanying the CEC.
• Anyone who receives a passing score will also be shipped a Continuing Education Transcript to submit to AOA for certification renewal.
• Anyone who does not receive a passing score of 80% or better will be sent a notice of failure within 5-7 business days.
